Perio Plus products are effective mouthwashes that contain chlorhexidine in varying concentrations and natural Citrox bioflavonoids extracted from bitter oranges, which enhance the antibacterial action.
The mouthwashes are available in 4 variants of chlorhexidine concentration, allowing the right liquid to be selected to suit the patient's needs:
- Balance 0.05% (for long-term use)
- Regenerate 0.09% (tissue regeneration)
- Protect 0.12% (strong)
- Forte 0.2% (extra intensive)

- Citrox comes straight from nature. It is a natural bioflavonoid extracted from bitter oranges (Citrus aurantium amara) to ensure it adheres well to the teeth, gums and oral mucosa for a long-lasting effect, it is combined with another natural ingredient – polylysine amino acids – to create the Citrox/P formula.
- In addition to the power of Chlorhexidine and Citrox, Perio plus mouthwashes also contain the copolymer PVP-VA. This creates a strong, protective film on the teeth and gums.
- Xylitol for a pleasant taste, to protect against caries and ensure strong teeth
Perio Plus Balance:
- Chlorhexidine concentration: 0.05%.
- Reduces the risk of tooth decay and is the ideal mouthwash for long-term use.
- It can also improve cleaning results for people with impaired motor skills.
- Sodium fluoride for additional protection against caries during long-term use
Application:
Rinse 10 ml undiluted for 60 seconds. Morning and night, for up to six months.
Perio Plus Regenerate:
- Chlorhexidine concentration: 0.09%.
- Also features Hyaluronic Acid.
- Supports tissue regeneration and treatment-related dry mouth.
Application:
Rinse 10 ml undiluted for 60 seconds. Morning and night, for up to 1 month.
Perio Plus Protect:
- Chlorhexidine concentration: 0.12%.
- Gives antibacterial support for gingivitis, periodontal disease or other gum diseases.
Application:
Rinse for 60 seconds with 10 ml of undiluted liquid. Morning and evening for 3 weeks or less.
Perio Plus Forte:
- Chlorohexidine digluconate 0.2% - the highest level of CHX
- This mouthwash is ideal for short-term use before and after invasive dental procedures.
- It is reliable.
- Highly effective.
Application:
Rinse for 60 seconds with 10 ml of undiluted liquid.
After treatment and on subsequent days: morning and evening for 3-7 days.
Tips for minimising discolouration
During treatment with Perio plus, avoid consuming tobacco, coffee, black and green tea, red wine, berries, curry and saffron. This will keep discolouration to a minimum.
Caution
Only use Perio plus or other CHX mouthwashes at your dentist's recommendation. In normal circumstances, this product is not required – toothbrushes and interdental brushes are sufficient for cleaning the teeth, gums and oral mucosa. Always follow the instructions of your dental specialist.
