Composition:
Zinc Oxide: zinc oxide 100% of pharmacopeial purity
Zinc Oxide Fast: zinc oxide of pharmacopeial purity, excipients
Properties of Zinc Oxide:
- allows: to obtain a tight filling of temporary cavity
- has drying effect
- stimulates creation of the secondary dentine.
Additional properties of Zinc Oxide Fast:
- requires a smaller amount of Eugenol
- requires less time for mixing
- binds fast in the cavity
- does not rinse out of the cavity like similar preparations.
Handling the product:
1. Zinc Oxide oraz Zinc Oxide Fast and Eugenol should be combined in proportions allowing obtaining a paste of the desired consistency.
2. The recommended ratio is one teaspoon of Zinc Oxide or Zinc Oxide Fast and one drop of eugenol (weight ratio 3:1) using the accessories shipped with Cerkamed products - Eugenol and Zinc Oxide.
3. Leave the filling in the cavity or in the root canal for a period of 1 week but no longer than 30 days.
CAUTION! Zinc Oxide Fast is a fast-setting product. Mix for no longer than 30-50 seconds. Bonding time: up to 10 minutes.
