The Arkona Chords are light-cured polyaramide mouldable fibres with a breaking strength 80% higher than glass fibres.
The fibre is saturated with methacrylates, requires no additional silanisation, is universal and compatible with modern composites.
The mechanical strength of polyaramid Chords fibres is approximately 50% higher than chewing forces.
The box contains 1 fibre with a length of 10 cm.
Fibre widths available: 2 mm, 3 mm or 4 mm.
Packages:
1 x 1 pc.

Properties:
- composition: polyaramide fibres (40-60 wt.%), dimethacrylate resin blend (BisGMA, TEGDMA) with photoinitiating system (CQ: DMAEMA), stabilisers and inhibitors.
- class IIa medical device
- the fibre is cured by free radical polymerisation activated by visible light in the blue range (400-500 nm).
- the fibre provides support for fixed composite restorations such as:
crowns, endocrowns,
bridges, inlays, onlays,
tooth stabilising splints, temporary and permanent orthodontic retainers, individual crown and root inlays.
Directions for use:
1. Prepare the teeth according to the applicable rules.
2. In the indirect external method, insulate the teeth with vaseline/silicone or make an impression and model with ostracontouring plaster.
3. In the indirect method, apply cofferdam and then carefully insulate the teeth with vaseline/silicone. This is to enable the fabricated restoration to be easily removed and thoroughly inspected before final cementation. Any imperfections found, depending on their nature, may require repair / restoration or may disqualify the completed work.
4. The direct method should only be used where it is absolutely necessary and it is not possible to carry out the work using the indirect method. In this situation, it is absolutely necessary to isolate the treatment area with a cofferdam and then etch the teeth according to the rules and cover with a bonding system. When applying the dental etch and bonding system, always follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the respective product.
